One thing I forgot to mention. We are starting a new sermon series called "What is a Christian?" I'd love to hear some feedback regarding this topic. Anything from personal stories, victories as well as hard times in your faith, scriptures you have found helpful etc. Let's start creating these sermons together!

nice, Evan - what is a Christian? Someone who has decided to live his/her life under the guidance, direction, inspiration and authority of God as revealed through His Son, Jesus? Looking forward to hearing other comments...

A Christian is one who has accepted Jesus Christ as their personal savior and Lord of their life and follows Him.

Thanks for the thoughts. We had a good first sermon on this topic. I'll post my sermon notes to our church website (coastlandschurch.org) if you'd like to take a look at them and let me know what you think.

being a christian: a balancing act while still in the world...to be thankful I chose The Way but still know that only God can take full credit. That none of us is good but to the degree that I am, again only God can take the credit. I am but dust but at the very same time created in Gods image. That Gods wrath is displayed when he hands me over to my own stubborn heart to follow my own devices.
